MALGRAT DE MAR
Malgrat de Mar is a city with a tradition of basketball. Almost 28 years of international tournaments (since 1982) have allowed us to see how the popularity of the events that began in a fishing village of 15,000 people was growing right on the Mediterranean coast, 115 kilometres south of the French-Spanish border and 55 km from Barcelona. This city can be reached by car (motorway until 25 kilometres outside of Malgrat de Mar), by train (Malgrat de Mar station), or by aeroplane (Gerona airport is 40 km away and Barcelona airport 70 km).
In Malgrat de Mar you can find everything that you might want in an international beach area. Almost three kilometres of sandy beaches inviting you in for a dip, never-ending streets full of clothing shops and plenty of boulevard cafes where you can enjoy a drink and a chat.
There is also no lack of discos. Tropicana, QK… for anyone who doesn’t know them as well as those who one day will… And a lot of languages are spoken here too. People speak German, English, Italian, French, among other languages.
